I'm a bike messenger turned editor, turned acupuncturist. I have a B.A. from CCNY in anthropology, and although advised to study Traditional Chinese Medicine a long while ago by my first taiji instructor, I was too busy being a young man and riding my bicycle around the city for a living. It was only later that I realized that being a young man is training for being a real man. So, ten years later, I heeded my teacher's advice and studied TCM. Having come recently to Zen Buddhism, I've been inspired by the examples of past patriarchs to lead a life of compassion. I hope to someday fulfill the bodhisattva vow and help liberate all beings from suffering, one acupuncture needle at a time.
